Model: Deco BE85
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.0.19 Build 20240719 Rel. 42399

I applied the above firmware - 1.0.19 Build 20240719 Rel. 42399 - to my mesh network, and now when I attempt to access the https: version of the site the page hangs.

When I change it to http:, the page prompts me for my TP-Link password.

Bug?

Are you using your IP to log in or http://tplinkdeco.net/ ?

Need help with the Deco app, setup, Ethernet backhaul, network switch or rolling back firmware? https://community.tp-link.com/us/home/forum/topic/699816?page=1

Actually I was using the IP address.

I've switched the profile to use the web address instead.

Does this mean the internet has to be active in order to log in to the router?

Well, that seems to be an extraordinarily poor design.

Your internet is out, so remove local access to the device which supplies you with internet.

You can, however, http://deco-LAN-address and log in using your TP-Link account password (provided the Deco remembers it locally).

There really should be a local admin account and password so you can do at least some debugging in your router in case of an outage. At the very least there should be a locally configurable password which gains you administrative access to the router - an nmap scan of the local LAN address indicates there's at least an active http: and https: server in the router.

Of course, if all the UI action or logic takes place on the TL-Link servers you're doomed anyway …

You may consider submitting a feature request by following these steps:

1. Contact support at support.usa@tp-link.com.

2. Please include the model number of your Deco router, along with the hardware and firmware versions.

3. Clearly specify your request.
