Hello,

I recently purchased the following switch: TP-Link TL-SG108 8 Port Gigabit Unmanaged Ethernet Network Switch.

There is a Loop Prevention switch on the back that I can toggle on or off. I've tried to do some research to find out if toggling this on, would benefit our home network or degrade overall performance.

We have your standard 2-3 tvs running at any given time, game console at any given time, smart devices and roughly 6-9 cameres monitoring at any given time.

We have a 1G pipe coming into our home with an orginal Google Wi-Fi mesh system(3 end points all together).

Please advise.

Appreciate your time in advance.

Respectfully,

SL

Thank you.

  @Skinny-Lettuce

It's highly unlikely that a network loop would occur in a local network like yours, so leave it as it is - off.
