Model: Deco X20
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.2.4

I purchased a 3 pack system but only needed 2 units since they seem to be covering my total square footage very well.

All the 3 units factory linked to each other?  I was thinking of purchasing a stand alone x20 (or equivilent) and set up a new 2 unit network for my mother at her house.  I know I could keep my 3rd as a potential backup if one of mine goes down, but I'd rather not have it just collect dust in my closet.

What are my best options?

@TCarollo they can be use individually. Just use it as you plan for now. Can always find a newer one in the future as main unit to expand if you still want to keep them by then.

@TCarollo Even if the three units are initially linked, the link can be removed.

I believe one way to do it is adding the third to the existing network, then, using the app, removing the third from the network.  It should then blink blue, awaiting to join another network.
