Model: Deco M4
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.5

Recently switched my router from Ziply provided one to AXE5400 and noticed significant drop in throughput. With ziply I've seen as high as 800 mbps
(I've 1 gig fios from ziply). But with AXE5400, maximum I saw was close to 150 mbps at various times of the day. Moving closer to the unit didn't help.

Any ideas?

Hey  @cay7man,

I would need a bit more information about what your network looks like, your speed tests, and your devices. How is your network all configured and connected to your ISP? What is the model of your modem?

You may double-check that your modem isn't actually operating as a router, and that your connections between your router and modem are not faulty by trying another cable. Lastly, make sure that your router is broadcasting your 5GHz network.

@Riley_S Its Ziply fiber (1 gig up/down). Their unit is in the garage and I've a feed to the closet. The feed is directly connected to one of the port on the deco.

I get about 902 mbps download and 814 mbps upload on my desktop (wired) when tested using speedtest.net. I used to get 700 to 800 mbps oh iPhone with ziply router which has been
replaced with deco now.

Yes, deco is configured for both 5Ghz and 6Ghz. On a laptop which is connected to 6Ghz I get 561 mbps download and just 91 mbps upload.

On iPhone 14 ProMax, I get 223 mbps download speed only.

All these devices are located in the same location while deco is about 6 meters away in a closet on the same floor.

On this laptop with 6E capable WiFi, when connected to Ziply router (5 Ghz), I get 619/706 for upload/download. Simply switching the connection back to Deco and
re-running speedtest.net gives 599 download and 82 for upload. The upload speed seem to be consistently around 100 mbps on 6 Ghz/deco.
