Model: Deco BE85
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.0.13 Build 20230927 Rel. 38826

Model: Deco BE85 (3 satellite bundle)

Firmware version: 1.0.13 Build 20230927 Rel. 38826

Modem: Netgear Xfinity Modem (model: CM2050V)

MoCa adapter(s): Actiontec Bonded 2.5 Gbps Network Adapters (model: ECB7250K02)

Switch(s): TP-Link TL-SG108-M2, TP-Link TL-SG105-M2

Hi there,

My BE85’s randomly stop working throughout the day. The main Deco will turn solid red and the two satellites will start pulsing red when this occurs. Sometimes this will self-correct if given time, however, I usully must unplug all the Deco’s to resolve this issue.

My setup is as follows:

Modem -> Main Deco ->TL-SG108-M2 switch -> MoCa Adapter -> Coaxial -> Multiple rooms*

*Room 1: MoCa Adapter -> TP-Link TL-SG105-M2 switch -> satellite Deco 1

*Room 2: MoCa Adapter -> TP-Link TL-SG105-M2 switch -> satellite Deco 2

Of note, I have tried connecting the satellites directly to the MoCa Adapters (to bypass the additional switch) but it causes the same issue.

I was able to capture the logs for the most recent event and can share if needed.

Appreciate any help. I really enjoy this product but hate having to unplug the system multiples time for it to work.

  @Quemo

Hi, welcome to the community.

Could you please help me run a simple test:

1. Temporarily disconnect the Moca adapter from TL-SG108-M2.

2. Power off the two satellite BE85 units, and Leave the main Deco only.

3. Check for some time to see whether the main Deco would drop out again.

At the same time, I would also like to follow up on your case via email in case I need to forward your case to the engineers for further assistance.

I used to see similar feedback about Moca adapters and I doubted that sometimes they might cause an internet loop.

Thank you very much and wait for your reply.

Best regards.
