Have a deco mesh system and now bought newer model axe5300 to replace old one and would like to be able to keep same network name and password? If I just unplug old system and connect new one will everything connect back if I use same network name and password?
What you want to do is add the new system to your existing one. This will configure the new Deco with all the information from the old Decos. From there you would use the Deco App to make one of the new one the main unit and put it in place of the existing main unit connected to your modem. From there you can either keep the older units and satellites to further expand your coverage area or just remove them. If you remove them you can then go in the Deco app and delete the units that no longer show connected.
