I just set up a new Deco M5 mesh network.

 

I was able to set up the first 5 devices with the same password.  As I try to add additional devices, error messages appear indicating that the password is invalid.  It was valid originally and not it isn't?  I don't understand.

 

What am I doing wrong?  TIA

Hi, welcome to the community.

Would it be possible that some numbers/characters are added by mistake?

You are able to go back to the Deco APP over 4G mobile data to check whether is the current wireless password under the Wi-Fi Setting.

By the way, did you use the space as the wireless password?

identical pass words.  after a few, the rest of the devices simply indicate that it is an invalid password

Sometimes, when a device is not compatible with the wifi security protocol used by the access point (Deco), it states "invalid password".

Are the affected devices recent enough?
