Model: TL-WR940N
Hardware Version: V6
Firmware Version:

I have two models tl-wr940n and tl-wa801nd.  the wa801nd works and the other doesn't.  The problem was ME.  I screwed up something.  I somehow managed to change the ssd of the wa801nd to the the ssd of the wr940n.  Its working fine except the ssd is wrong.  The wr940n almost works but not really.  What I obviously need to do first is the get the ssd thing taken care of.   The wa801nd doesn't have an ssd.  I changed it by going to 192.168.0.254 and answering the questions from the back of the wr940n.  Oh 192.168.0.254 no longer works.

I know, I screwed up.  Now I have to get them back to where they should be.

Can anybody help me?

@jwhitte

When you mention ssd, do you refer to the wireless network name of the WR940N or WA801N? How are they connected to each other? Is the WR940N working as the main router, and the WA801N working as a repeater?

If that is the case, you can factory reset both units, and set up the WR940N from scratch first by following this guide.

Once the WR940N is configured and connected to the internet, then you can try to reconfigure the WA801N by following this FAQ.
