Model: Archer AX73
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.1 Build 20220316 rel.35540(5553)

My USB drive shows up in the router's page as "Drive Name(G:)".

Can I change that "(G:)"?

Because it shows up in Explorer as "\\SHARENAME\g\".

When I had the same drive plugged into my previous TP Link Archer 6, it addressed as "\\SHARENAME\sda1\". And I had plenty of devices that were mapped to that address. To remap is a ton of work! Would be so much easier if I could change the "g" to "sda1".

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

  @Alonzo_Mosley

I may not be that much help, I've switched using an Archer A20 to an AX55 and both used G:, I did move from a Netgear that was different though, but I have no shares set, I access what I need via File Manager or in programs.

I can 'think' of a way, but not sure it would work? Use the HOSTS file to redirect the one with 'G' to 'sda1'?

This assume all the devices connect via windows?

Possible it could be 'hacked' into the firmware but I wouldn't try that?
