Model: Archer AX72
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

Can you guys suggests some solution?

-the laptop is running linux and it was able to connect on my old AC router 5g just fine.

-the laptop can connect to 2.4ghz but of course I want it on 5ghz.

- I updated the firmware to latest as soon as I unboxed the ax72.

- Whenever I try to connect to 5ghz after entering the password it's keep asking me for password in a loop.

My 5ghz setting

channel 48

80mhz

  @ttx99,

When the computer is asking for the password in a loop, is there any additional information given? Such as being an incorrect password?

It could be possible that you have different passwords for the two networks. Otherwise, I would recommend forgetting the old network and trying to reconnect to the network after restarting the computer. The laptop may be trying to connect using credentials from the old network, which may be causing the issue.

  @Riley_S  I reformated (fresh install of Linux Mint) my laptop still cant connect only on 5ghz.

my previous distro was Manjaro I installed the follow ing drivers from https://github.com/aircrack-ng/rtl8812au and https://github.com/morrownr/8812au.

Same for Linux Mint, but it was actually able to connect for a while after the fresh install but right after I rebooted 5ghz dropped and now I cant connect.

That's all my connection I just changed my ssid.

this is when it tries to connect to 5ghz. Stuck at configuring connection then ask for password again.

then it asks for pw again. 2ghz and 5ghz has the same password.
