No. It will not be upgradeable as WiFi 7 requires new chipsets to implement the standard. Current 6E device chipsets cannot support the features. The radios have to be more capable, i.e. larger channnel width usage, etc... Future-proof is likely a marketing term relating to the fact that Wifi 6E will be more than enough for the average user for the foreseable future. Many debates in tech articles can already be found on the upgrading wo Wifi 7 vs. 6E for the average home user. So, unitl 6E devices reach EOL, and IMHO, I would say wait for Wifi 7 to be your only option when needing new wireless devices and the prices come down on them. Besides, it will likely be a while before you have enough client devices that also support the standard to make the jump to it practical.
