I'm having issues in my network with obtaining a valid IP configuration and trying to narrow down the issue. I have an Ethernet connection running from my FIOS router to the to gigabit switch. I tested the Ethernet cable and is good. When I plug in any device on the switch I can't get a data connection and nothing works.  The green LED is illuminated on the switch but NOT flashing so no data is being transmitted. Does the solid green mean that it's a good connection. Thanks for any help or insight.
