Is there any way to force a device to connect to 5G whilst smart connect is enabled?
I have a stationary pc that keeps flipping between 2G and 5G which is causing frequent dropouts lasting a couple of seconds, and so want it to connect to 5G only and other devices just have smart connect figure out what's best
That is a common problem with Smart Connect especially when you are at the fringe area where the signals are equal to each other.
I would not use Smart Connect as I prefer to have more control on what devices are on each band.
If you have the issue in a specific area, you can try moving the router to a different location, so the 5G is better in that location.
