Deco show red signal but I’m still online
Hi,
i had installed 10 Deco in a network and wired all 10s. Sometimes 1 or 2 deco will turn red in colour but I'm still connected online . How to I explain to this scenario?
the decos are not connected with the Ethernet although I already linked them with a tp-link switch .
please help. Thanks

@deco_newbie99 DECO works like a mesh system, so if one of nodes fail the signal is pickedup by another working node. It is possible your signal is carried by another working node seamlessly so you remain online but connected to that specific node. This is speculation of course, I not a DECO expert.

Thanks for your reply.
I'm sure im connected to that red signal Deco Node as it is far away from other node and it is connected via LAN. I turned of the red signal node and i lost internet connection.

Hi, thanks for the update.
How often did this unit turn red?
And Did it randomly happen to all the satellite Deco units?
Would it be offline on the Deco APP?
Since all the Decos are wired to each other when one unit is offline, it might work as a bridge cable so that the wired clients could still have internet service;
By the way, since your current firmware is 1.5.1, have you tried to update to the latest US firmware:

I have opened that the link that you sent but the title is M5 1.0_en_1.5.3 Build 20210203 rel. 68223_US_EU_AU_CA_JP_SW_up
Just wanna make sure it is the correct link as the title is started with M5 and My deco model is X60.
Would you recommend me to do the upgrade of the firmware using Web GUI or the Deco App?
Thanks,
Steven
