Model: Archer C5400X
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.2

I've connected the TPLink C5400X router to a Motorola MB8600 modem with link aggregation enabled in both.  Both support link aggregation.  LAN Ports 1 & 2 of the modem are connected to router WAN port and LAN port 1.  The modem does not indicate that the WAN ports are linked (LAN light flashing green).  When linked, the modem light goes solid green (not bonded) or blue (bonded)

Any suggestion on how to get the ports linked and bonded?

Is your ISP providing two IP addresses as that would be the first requirement?

No.  My ISP (Cpmcast/Xfinity) has increased my download speed to 1.2 Gigabits (provisioned to 1.4 Gigabits).  To get the higher speed, my modem supports LAG combining of multiple network connections in parallel in order to increase throughput beyond what a single connection could sustain.

The modem support LAG passive mode (Enables LACP only when an LACP device is detected.)

Are you using CAT 6 cables?

See https://forums.xfinity.com/conversations/your-home-network/link-aggregation-sb8200/602daf7bc5375f08cd0d7a2d for more help.

I'm using cat5e cables because each connection is 1 Gigabit.  I can try it with cat6 cables.

The link you referenced covers a Netgear Orbi WiFi 6, AX4200 connected to an Arris SB8200 modem.  Can you tell me what modems TP-Link has test the C5400X WAN LAG with?

I can not since I am just a user helping out others and I am not using LAG.

EG in the xfinity site seems to know a whole lot more about the subject than most here will.

I would think any LAG router paired with a LAG modem should work the same but maybe the TP Link router requires multiple IPs.

FYI, I switched to cat6 cables and still don't have WAN LAG.
