Model: Archer AX21
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.1

Hello everyone,

Using the Tether app with my RE505X extender (AX1500) I see that it has an amazing amount of icons, all the icons of the Kasa products I use go according to the product and if I connect my mac or my phone, playstation, ipad, etc, I can clearly appreciate the icons in the form of laptop or phone , But if I switch to the Archer AX21 (AX1800) it only has 5 icons then everything that is not recognized by the AX21 the icon is a square with 3 dots and that is a problem when you have a smart home, you want to quickly find a product and all you see are squares with dots

I think it should be updated to have a greater number of icons and be able to take better advantage of the app.

Or is it that the Archer AX50 has priority over the AX21?

I reached out to Support via chat and they told me that this can only be fixed with a new firmware as the icons are embedded in it. No timeline though.

@DCK

I prefer if they would give you the option to attach a name to the MAC so I can assign wyze cam 1, wyze cam 2, ....

One thing you could do is use address reservation and assign IP addresses and use a specific range of IPs to group each type of device.

For example: 192.168.0.141 = wyze cam 1, 192.168.0.142 = wyze cam 2, .... and 192.168.0.151 = iPad 1, 192.168.0.152 = iPad 2, ....
