Hi!

When connected ONLY via Ethernet backhaul, does the main deco that's connected to the modem transmit WiFi signal too, or does it just distribute the data (through a switch) to the other decos without transmitting WiFi?

Thanks

@Mark_G.

It depends if a satellite node needs Wi-Fi connectivity then it will do both. However, say you had everything wired, then data transmitted between Deco units will only be via Ethernet.

With respect to your wireless devices, they will connect to the main node Wi-Fi, and all the other wireless devices connected to the satellite nodes will have the data pass through the Ethernet connection. This is assuming they are still connected to the satellite nodes.

So the Deco nodes will talk through the Ethernet, Wi-Fi will connect to whichever is a better connection.
