Model: Archer AX20
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.0 Build 20201023 rel.69987(5553)

My router will reboot somewhat randomly between one and two times a day it seems. It can vary and I don't always check to see if it happened in the evening. It takes about a minute or two for the router and the network to come back online fully. Me and my partner work from home and use voip, so having the network go down is very disruptive, even with how seldom it is.

I'm currently at the latest firmware, installed using the routers web gui. I also downloaded the firmware from tp-link and applied it again and still had the issue. Eventually I figured it was defective, so I returned it and got a brand new one. Same hardware version, same firmware once I updated it following the initial setup. I decided on the second one not to import settings from the previous one, so I just set it up manually again, and tried to keep it simple. The second one still has the issue.

The only settings I have beyond the default are QOS (reboot issue before I added this), Address Reservation through the DHCP Server settings, and 2.4ghz has the channel set manually to 10.

My modem is an Arris TM822 provided by spectrum, using their cable internet.

Archer AX20 Hardware version is V1.26 to be precise.

In the log it seems to wipe out the old logs when it reboots/crashes and only keep some logging from october of 2020 (I've only had the newest one since feb 2021) and then what I'm assuming is logging from when it initializes after the reboot/crash. It could also just be logging the date incorrectly. Most recent crash happend right at or before the entry stamped "2021-02-23 13:22:25".

@Sperovita

If there is another outlet available plug the router into that and see if the reboots still happen. Additionally, look at the power supply and verify if it matches the power requirements of the router.

What you can also do, should the router still be in warranty, is to request a replacement power supply from our support team.

@Sperovita Just putting it out there that I get the exact same thing, random reboots.

Firmware Version:

1.2.0 Build 20201023 rel.69937(5553)

Hardware Version:

Archer AX1800 v1.20

I even have teh router schedule to reboot daily in case its a memory leak issue but that does not appear to help

@Sperovita

I have this issue as well. Once my company working laptop connect to secure VPN the router will start rebooting frequently.
