Model: Archer AX6000
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1

Hi, my cable internet provider will be off-line for a few days. Is it possible for me to use a 4G SIM with the AX6000?

Either via USB, or another way?

@RockPaper

You will need to provide an Ethernet cable to the WAN port. You could also set up WDS bridging: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/1555/

Usually, you would set up WDS bridging to an existing router, not a hotspot so that may not work.

@Tony Thank you - can you recommend a suitable device to provide that connection?

My Android 11 phone has "Ethernet Tethering" with a USB ethernet adapter, but

1/ I don't have an adapter to test right now, and I'd need to find a way to charge at the same time

2/ It would be more convenient to have a dedicated device attached to the WAN port

I would try the WDS setup, which is referenced in my post #2. What that will do is use the 2.4G to connect to your smartphone hotspot, then extend the Wi-Fi connection. Also devices wired should also get a network connection.

If that does not work I would utilize the smartphone and connect devices to that directly. It varies but you should be able to connect several devices to your phone hotspot at once.
