Model: Deco M4
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

An unknown device appeared on my network.  Turns out it was an iPad that I had already added, but apparently there is a feature in iOS 14 where the device will cast random MAC addresses so that the device cannot be tracked across multiple websites.  I had to delete the old device profile which appeared offline, and then rename the new device profile so that I know what it is when I see it on my connected devices list (just like I did originally).

Must I continually do this each time an iOS device casts a different MAC address?  Is there a way to have the Deco recognize that it is actually the same device, or is this a setting I need to tinker with on my Apple devices?

@cginva

What you said last was correct, you need to modify the setting in the iOS device.
