I am trying to use my AX3000 to extend the wireless network at my home. I have Vierizon FIOS and TV service so it's my understanding that I can not simply replace the verizon modem/router because it's required for the TV boxes to work. I found a few articles online but I was hoping someone could help me out.

I was mainly going to follow the steps in this article https://www.dslreports.com/faq/12506 unless someone has another recommendation. I would like to avoid a double NAT.

I can not figure out how to do the following on th AX3000

  1. Set at static IP

  2. Disable DHCP

  3. I don't know if I need to hook up the ethernet cable to the WAN or LAN port

  4. How do enable AP mode?

@Max2021

There is an AP Mode inside of the router that makes configuring it easier. Here is a FAQ that shows how: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/2066/
