Model: Deco M5
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I recently purchased a TP-Link Deco M5 mesh kit for my apartment. So far so good with the wi-fi.

The problem I'm running into, however, is that I can't figure out how to get the second ethernet port on the main M5 unit to work. I'm trying to connect my computer to ethernet via the AP and it shows up connected in my MBP's network settings in OS X, but nothing will actually connect to the internet.

Has anyone experienced something similar? What am I missing here? TIA.

@Tony Hi there, thanks for the reply. I was actually able to sort this out over live chat with TP-Link support. Turns out it was a DNS issue. Thanks regardless.

@jomama341 Here is what my network settings look like in OS X: https://imgur.com/a/pYiSXqf I've also tried swapping ethernet cables and that didn't fix it.

@jomama341

Have you tried connecting to any of the satellite nodes?

In the screenshot referenced does your computer get an IP of 192.168.68.x?

Have you tried swapping the main node with one of the satellite nodes?

Are you also running 1.4.9 firmware?
