Model: Deco M4
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

We have an Adtran 1004 cable modem (Spectrum fibre) connected to a Trendnet TEG-S234SG switch.  The switch is connected via cat6 to various rooms in the house.

The Deco connects to one of those ports, in the living room.  It works perfectly.

However, every other wired port in the house does NOT work when the Deco is on.

If I power the Deco down then all of the wired ports come alive.

Any idea?  I tried plugging laptop (Macbook Pro - turned off wifi, then connected via ethernet cable) directly into modem and that doesn't work either...unless I power down Deco.

@hockeynut

If you already have a main router (not TP-LInk), then set the Deco M4 to run in Access Point Mode in the advanced settings. In AP Mode the Deco units can be connected in any way (wired to each other, wired to router, or connected via Wi-Fi).
