Model: Archer A5
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 0.9.1 0.2 v0093.0 Build 190125 Rel.63783n(4555)

Hello,

I bought yesterday a new TP-Link router Archer A5. Setup is very easy and I thought another great product - but unfortunately NO .

After some troubleshooting, I realized that the 2.4 GHz band network is constrantly dropping. It seems this is a problem iwth all Archer series.

5G band is working fine.

I tried to change channels and widths as suggested by other thread but no change.

The firmaware I have for version 4 is the latest one released - 0.9.1 0.2 v0093.0 Build 190125 Rel.63783n(4555) .

Do you have any suggestion or it's better to return it to the seller?

Thanks!

I would be sure you are using different SSIDs. For testing, I would change the 2.4 GHz SSID and connect only one device and see how it does. If good, then add another, and see if and when it fails. If you used the same SSids as the old router, we have seen issues with some devices where you need to delete (forget) the network on the device and re-establish it.
