I have two Deco E4 that I bought recently. My Internet plan is 60 Mbps and it works perfectly.  But I would like to know if I upgrade my Internet to over 100 Mbps I can add a Gigabit Deco, like M4 or M5 to my mesh system as the main Deco. Would it work well with my E4 or should I change my 2 Pack E4 to a complete Gigabit Deco system?

You could use the M5 to tap into speeds above 100 Mbps. The actual speed results will depend on your environment. However, say everything is a solid connection, the E4s are connected via Wi-Fi, you should see an improvement.

Thanks a lot for your answer. But would it be better to buy a Gigabit pack, like M4 or M5 to change my E4s or I can stay with them and just add a M4 or M5 as the main deco connected with the Internet modem? Will the results be the same?

The wireless specs of the E4, M4, and M5 are all pretty much the same so that would stay the same. The biggest difference is using a Deco that has a gigabit port to get past the 100 Mbps LAN on the Deco E4. 

 

So what I would do is to try just getting one M5, and having that as my main Decos the E4s communicating over Wi-Fi would be the same if they were M4s or M5s.
