@HellBent How did you configure the RE505X as an AP?

All I found in the doc is how to configure it as a repeater and when I hooked it up by ethernet to the router, it started creating all sorts of network problems.

When my RE650 is in Range Extender mode it is meant to extend an existing WiFi network. In this mode the Ethernet port can be used as a extra wired port. For example, if you have your WiFi Router in the back of the house, and use the Range Extender to extend WiFi to a Game Room in the front of the house, you could use the Ethernet port for a Game Console or TV that does not support WiFi. If I had the RE650 in Range Extender mode and plugged the Ethernet port into my router, it would cause a loop back that negatively affects my network.

Unfortunately I do not own a RE505 so I don't know how to set them up in Access Point Mode. For my RE650, here is how to do it:

Login to the Website GUI of the device. In the upper right-hand side to the left of the Reboot and Logout buttons, you will see a Mode button. Click the Mode button and switch the device to Access Point mode. Once in Access Point mode, you will plug a Ethernet cable between the Ethernet port on the device and an Ethernet port on your router.

I find it a bit stupid that TP-Link didn't include this feature in the Tether app for the setup.
