Unable to connect to WiFi extender: Incorrect Password
WiFi extender has been successfully paired with WIFI Router/Modem, however cannot connect to extender network with same password as router. Access to extender to configure password cannot be done because password is not known.
Any suggestions?

If the password is incorrect, then the password being given to the extender may be incorrect. If you look at the LED lights if those do not indicate it is connecting to the router, reset the extender and double-check the password being entered such as lower case or upper case.
The extended network is like the same network name as your main router. Look at the LED lights to verify if the extender is showing it is connected and running.

When setting up the extender there are two different passwords that are related to the extender. In order to connect the extender to the wireless router, you would use the same wireless password you would use to connect to the router Wi-Fi. In order to log into the actual extender, you would use the default login which the username is admin and the password is admin.

@Tony I'm having the same problem. Trying to connect to extended network. Use the same password as the WiFi network and it says the password is incorrect, cannot connect.

@YazD148
Hi all,
I have now 2 USELESS TP LINK WIFI EXTENDERS
I have tried with both to extend my WIFI network. I have given the EXTENDED network a new name.
I first am able to connect to the new extended WIFI network, but after a while, it disconnects my iPHONE 7 from that EXTENDED network and when I attempt to re connect to it, the authentication to the EXTENDED network fails and I am told "Incorrect password". WFT? I am using the same password as I am using for the original WIFI Network (which is what I copied over to the EXTENDED network during setup). This is insane. I should have bought a DLINK or other brand, but instead thought it was an issue with the particular model.
I now own to devices, neither is usable.
This started happening with TLWA850RE and now with TLWA855RE.
ITEM OF NOTE: I bought several smart plugs (NEXXT) and lightbulbs, they are connecting to the Extended NW, but they start to disconnect (and not respond after a while). This is all in 2.4GHz.

Leave the extenders powered on and reboot the router to see if it may be a potential IP conflict.
When the issue happens, check the LED light to see if those indicate it is still connected to the router.

Had the same issue and determined that the password was not correctly set when using the TP-Link Tether App. I recommend that you factory reset the extender and use the web management tool to configure the extender.

if you're using 5GHz the login & pass are: admin
if you're using 2.4GHz there is no password. I've tried admin and it doesn't work

reset the extender then configure to your modem again and when you go to login in to the extender use the password in the back of your extender.
