Model: RE650
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.06

Added RE650 for a dead spot.  Seems to work fine, but 2.4Gz and 5Gz.

DHCP is set to off (in case that matters.)

Router provided dhcp server.  Devices connected via RE650 have their Ethernet MAC Address changed.  What the device (e.g. Android Phone) says it's MAC Address is shows up in "Clients", but is NOT what is provided to the dhcp server.  The RE650 seems to change the first 3 bytes, leaving the last 3 alone.  The 3 bytes are changed to "1e:3b:f3:"

The dhcp server uses MAC Address to provide IPv4 Address basedon Ethernet MAC, and DNS name based on the IPv4 Address.

Is there a way to get the RE650 to just pass the clietns Ethernet MAC Address through unmodified?

@BostonDriver

Unfortunately, there is not, the change is built-in by design.

@Tony

Is there a different model that will simply bridge the MAC Addreses?

Thanks for your help

@BostonDriver

The TL-WA850RE hardware version 1 does not change the MAC. Finding that on the market may be hard though since there have been many hardware revisions since then.
