I had a set of AV500s, on a 980/840 gigabit connection I was consistently getting 50/50 over the powerline. I upgraded to the AV1000 and now I'm consistently getting 200/200. Will an AV2000 also increase that speed? If so, by how much?

@trashcan

When introducing different powerline networks speeds what will happen is the powerline speed would be set to the slowest powerline adapter. If you were to have AV2000s and put a AV500, the entire powerline network would go down to AV500.

@Tony I am aware. Let me clarify.

The question is: If I upgrade from AV1000 to AV2000 (and I don't use AV1000 or AV500 in my system), can I expect an increase in speed?

Thanks, appreciate it

I would expect to see some improvement as long as there is a ground wire through the circuit. However, every environment is different so it will come down to testing to see.
