So I been battling out with my local ISP over speed issues lately. I have 1GB service, 1GB down / 40mbps UP. Recently I have only had 300-400 down and 6 up. The ISP requeted I run 3 tests without the router and direct. Direct with the modem I hit 650-700mbps, however upload is still 6mbps. When I go through the router I get 300-400mbps download and still 6mbps upload. 1000mbps Full Duplex is set and nothing else is really messed with. Any input would be grateful!

I would try different Ethernet cables. We had one poster report that the cable that came with the router was causing his speed issues.

@jpingram55 I purchased higher quality cables. Made zero difference speed wise. Roughly, I loose 200-300mbps when I go through my router. I believe this is an issue with the router itself as I tested directly with my modem and I have made all cable changes possible. Any other input would be great. Another question perhaps, can I down grade the firmware? In the beginning when I first bought the router, it worked flawlessly.

@jpingram55 Just did a Factory Reset on it. Seems to have cleared up my Download speed issue, however my upload speed is the same. I believe that itself could be an ISP issue.
