AX 11000 Slow Ethernet Ports
Hi everyone,
Purchased the AX11000 At Costco for $299. However, I seem to be having a speed issue with the wired ethernet ports.
I have Xfinity 1GB service. If I wire my computer directly from the Xfinity modem I get about 850 Mbps on a speed test. However, if I wire from the Comcast modem to the TP-link AX11000 to my computer I only get about 330 Mbps. My brother also purchased the same and we have the including the same cables to and from. His speeds are very similar to mine with the drop off in speed when wired to the TP-link. Any thoughts? I saw a different post archer ac1750 that they mentioned to turn on or off the NAT boost? Does this router have the same option? as that seems to fix/help the other poster. any thoughts?

I would try each one and test to see if any help with the speeds:
-Advanced > Network > Internet, set internet port negociation speeed to 1000 Mbps Full Duplex
-Advanced > HomeCare > QoS, manually set the bandwidth to 1000 Mbps up and 1000 Mbps down
-Advanced > HomeCare > Antivirus > Disable all three features

Hi Tony,
I have the same router and looked at the settngs you suggested and do not see the 10000 Full Duplex on the drop down menu. Below is what I see.

My father and I both bought this same router from Costco last week and run 1gb internet services (although we live in different states). We both previousy were getting 800-900mb internal speeds for lan results and similiar for internet. We both dropped to 300-400 with the TP-Link as well. We have spent hours resetting, trying different configs etc. I had my internet service provider out to test things. When I put the old Netgear back into serivce the lan speeds are back to normal but of course it lacks the latest and strongest Wifi qualities of the AX11000. We are trying the settings suggested here (thank you) to see if those make any difference and will report back.

Well made the changes, and it made little to no difference , speed still less than 300 Mbps through the AX11000. than directly to the second port of the modem which is about 850Mps. I think fold we have a dud here. slow Ethernet ports. Lucky its Costco as I am ready to pack this back up and return it.

Also contacted tech support, but there were no help. well, I guess for sure I am returning it. I hope others have better luck than I did.

Make sure the router is running the latest build of 200216 that was reelased within the last month. Default the router one more time, but do not adjust any settings in the HomeCare menu or anywhere and test the speeds again.
If the Ethernet cable is being used that cable with the router, try and swap that for another one.

We too have the EXACT condition you have.
Purchased AX11000 from Costco.
ISP: Comcast, with upgraded ISP service to Gigabit down, 40ish up.
Modem: NETGEAR CM1100 w/ 2@1Gbps ports.
Comcast Field Technician tested Modem speeds and getting over 1000Mbps down, 46Mbps up.
ERROR: Ethernet Cat5e cables that came with modem, routers.... Comcast tech computer was getting 600Mps down instead of 1000Mbps. He removed Ethernet cable and tried another NEW one i had laying around from previous modems/routers of past. Same problem.
Solution: Being a network guy, i created a new cable from Cat6 spool i had. BINGO. Modem --> Comcast computer got over 1000Mbps. I tell you this because, i have network cable checkers, that validate the 4-pairs inside the cable are wired the same on both ends of the cable. Yep, they were and signals were GREEN. but turns out something was deficient in qualilty of the shielding or the twisting pairs internally since it caused the 1000Mbps to drop to 600Mbps. Odd right? anyway, i updaded my cables to known good Cat6 cable and throughput is resolved directly from modem.
On Going Issue:
Modem --> to AX11000 the Tp-link router is only getting 600-700Mbps down, though the modem direct connection gets north of 1000Mbps.
I too have configured:
- all QoS to
3. turned off Antivirus
Still getting the ~600-700Mbps DOWN. Even with the known good CAT6 quality made cables.

@philipbi This is interesting. I don't have a 1Gbps connection but I was planning to get one and was counting on this router.
It seems like this router doesn't really works as advertized and may be I should return it.
