I'd like to entirely disable the QOS functions on the deco M5. How is that accomplished? It appears that once it's enabled, there are no means to turn it off.

Hi, Welcome to the community.
Maybe it is too soon to say that it is related to the QoS.
If there is no high priority device and 1000m/s is set for upload and download bandwidth, Deco M5 is capable of 1G bandwidth.
I also see your post on the other post, and It would be highly appreciated if you could start a new thread with the following details:
1. Can I have a rough picture of your network topology, like ISP modem---main Deco----<wired or wireless ?> 2nd M5 and the distance?
2. How did you run the speed test, via 2.4ghz, 5ghz, or cable connection, from main Deco or satellite Deco?
3. How about the link speed on the laptop?
