Archer A7 works but only on 5 GHz.

I plugged the Archer A7 into my Modem and it has internet access. The ethernet works wonderfully. No disconnects and runs smoothly. The problem is that 2.4 GHz band is useless. No internet at all. It says I am connected to the internet but nothing will load. 5 GHz was dropping signal every 5 to 10 minutes. Sometimes my devices couldn't even connect back to the 5 GHz band. So I disabled the 2.4 GHz wirless radio and now my 5 GHz band is working great! But my problem is that the 2.4 band will reach further and I might need it one day. Is there a way to fix this problem? Sorry I picked the wrong model on the drop down box. I couldn't find my router in the choices. Thanks for your time.
