Virtual Server Port forwarding issue on AC5400X

Model: Archer C5400X
Hardware Version: V7
Firmware Version: newest

Recently switched from an older Netgear to the AC5400X. Enabled port forwarding via virtual server for my Security Camera's. All settings seem to be correct and it will work for about 30 seconds or so, then I am unable to connect. Using latest firmware, tried factory restore, UPNP is enabled, using IP address reservation, WAN ip is correct, servers are entered correctly, port#'s are correct, rebooted all devices, etc. Are there any other settings that need to be changed or is there something I am missing? Everything else functions properly. When I switch back to my old router, everything works fine again. Thanks.

@intr

If you enable DMZ for one of the cameras do you get the same symptom?

Another thing to try is to change the port used on the security camera to a completley different one, and update the virtual servers to the new port.

Thank you for the response. I enabled the DMZ for one of the camera's and also tried changing the port via DVR and virtual server, yet same issue. Either doesn't work at all, or works for a minute or so after rebooting router.

Try to update the firmware with the latest release, even if it already is updated, apply the firmware again to see if it is software related.

It started working for me. Who knows... Checklist: - Firewalls - Virtual Server - Ports, IPs - Test from LAN, WAN, Internet device.

@alecor, I tried everything I could think of including all the suggestions here and I was never able to resolve the issue. Unfortunately I had to return the router a few weeks later. I ended up with an *sus wifi 6 and haven't had any trouble with it. Good luck, glad you got it working!
