I have archer c2300 router.

I keep getting attacked by the following virus

classification: SSL open ssl chacha20-poly1305 and rc4-md5 integer underflow -1.1 (cve-2017-3731)

A lot especially against laptops. sometimes 10 or more times an hour.

so far trend mico has listed this so evidently its not getting in but I wish i knew what it is and whether to worry about it.

thanks.

gvern

@gvern

This error message appears to be associated with a known vulnerability in OpenSSL.  Here is a CVE aritcle deailing this vulnerability http://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2017-3731.  What it recommends is that you update to to 1.1.0d.  Or  if you are using 1.0.2 inconjunction with RC4-MD5 then you used update to 1.0.2k
