I have two wifi routers in my home, one, a TP-LINK WR841N, and the other an actiontech router. The actiontech router is very stable and working.

But, the wr841N developed a weird symptom recently, where it is flaking out. BOTH the wireless access to the Internet and the wired (CAT5) Ethernet access to the Internet are flakey. It will halt communications for hours at a time, but the communications resume after some random time period.

This has never happened in the past.

The wr841n is only 1.5 years old.

What is the process for diagnosing the failure? Are there diagnostics in it? Or, an error log?

I've tried simple stuff like power cycling the router, but the symptom remains.

Help!!
