TL-PA9020 firmware upgrade keeps failing

I have a TL-PA9020(US) with firmware version 3.2.4_902011_161009_902, and no matter what I do it won't upgrade to the newest version (BCM60500_v3.2.4b_20170703_US_PA9020v1.0.ggl)
I'm using the newest tpPLC utility (tried both Mac and Windows) but I keep getting 'Update failed.'
The 2nd unit in the kit eventually upgraded, but even that one I had to try several times.
Any suggestions?

same problem here. just bought a AV2000 1.0 EU version, downloaded the last firmware and utility, tried on MAC and Windows and update always fails.
3.2.4_902011_161009_902 is the version in the adapters and I'm trying to update to this one TL-PA9020P KIT(EU)_V1_170628
Every time I try the upgrade it says Update Failed.

I was getting frustrated by getting Updated Failed on all the firmware releases. I verified the model (TL-PA9020) and the country (US). However I overlooked the "Version". I have Version 1.0 (V1) and the model page defaulted to Version 3 (V3). After selecting the correct version I was able to do the update.
I had assumed I had V3 since the firmware dates were from before when I purchased the adpaters new on Amazon.com. Not sure if there is any significant difference between the versions but frustrating I didn't the latest one when I bought it. The Amazon product page makes no mention of hardware version.
