No thread for modems TP 7610 ?

Can't seem to find a forum to ask so I'll try here. New as I just got today TP 7610 Doc sis 3.0 modem. Not completely green but not a tech either. 5 hours on the phone with Comcast today with absolutely nothing accomplished. They blame the router.I pay for blast service = 105 Mbps. Specs of the modem are 343 down 143 up coupled with a Linksys A 3200 router capable of handling 300Mbps .Running Windows 8 .Best I've seen since activation 12.? I disconnected a 10 year old Motorola surfboard that was giving 12-15..Comcast is the Worst I know but have no other option where I live. Can anyone guide me to settings or configurations to make these all shake hands and perform like they should ?
