I have the EU version of C7 v2, I tried multiple firmwares,and I think I've seen this message when something wasn't right with the file name (like version number with dots)

So first you can try to simply rename the file removing special characters and/or shorten it.

In this case, you can rename the firmware file to
"ArcherC7v2_tp_recovery.bin"
and upload it by using the above method.
might not be obvious at first, but it isn't complicated at all, only a few things to keep in mind :)

The router flashes itself automatically, but it's slower than regular firmware upgrades
Be patient and watch the router LEDs to know when it reboots itself.
When the process is finished and you can login, power cycle the router, and you're done.

make sure the format of the file you upload is .bin
