QoS, Nat Boost, and bufferbloat
Model : Archer C8
Hardware Version :
Firmware Version : 20160517 rel. 44603
ISP : Comcast
I have a C8 V1 router with the latest firmware connected to the 25Mbps Comcast tier through an Arris SB6183 modem. When I run the DSL Reports speed test, the bufferbloat grade is almost always D with an occasional C score, Line quality is generally A+ though once in a while it's very low. I have Nat Boost enabled since it was default. I don't play games but occasionally watch videos from the cable news channels or YouTube. I stream Netflix and Amazon to my TV via a wireless Roku connection and get occasional buffering and/or video quality degradation.
Wondering if turning off Nat Boost and playing with QoS settings will affect the streaming performance and/or improve bufferbloat.
