I just bought TP-Link AV1000. Connected one tot eh modem and one to the Vizio smart TV. Followed the instructions. The TV shows 0 download speed and the Nextflix is not loading. I see two green lights (power and ethernet), but the powerline light is off.

So you need to pair the two adapters using whichever method you choose - utility program or pushbutton on the device.

Of course I paired them before posting here. I read and followed the instructions. I only see the power light on. The powerline light never came up.
I followed this procedure too. http://www.tp-link.com/en/faq-1617.html. No powerline light.

Did you have them in close proximity while pairing?

Here's what I do to deploy a new pair of PLCs.
Grab a powerstrip.
Plug each one PLC in, wait until it is ready, then hold the button pressed until the status LED turns back off.Wait until the LEDs come back on. This resets the unit to factory condition. Repeat with 2nd adapter.
With only one of the adapters plugged in, press its button for one to two seconds. An LED on the unit should now blink. Now plug the other one in too, press its button in the same fashion. Now they should complete the pairing.
Plug them both back out and deploy them to the locations where you're actually going to use them.

Peter, what do you mean by "Status LED?" There are 3 LEDs: power, powerline and Ethernet.

Whichever - for a factory reset, just hold the button pressed for a long time until something happens on the LEDs, then let go of it, and wait until the LEDs come back to normal.
