While 10.6.8 is a 64-bit release for everything above the kernel, Apple chose not to support the early Intel 64-bit computers that first shipped with 32-bit kernels with 64-bit kernels in later OS releases. So I need a 32-bit kext (RT2870USBWirelessDriver.kext) for the T1U, and it appears that you only have the 64-bit version. Can you supply a 32-bit version please? Perhaps you have a link? Thanks.

It turns out that the driver provided under Support appears to be the wrong one (in spite of the T1U name): it is for RT2870 (up to 802.11n) chips, and it shows 10.6 support. The T1U has a MediaTek 7610U (802.11ac) chip, which needs a different MediaTek driver package, which is only available back to 10.7. Looking on the T1U product page, it says 10.7 and up. So no 10.6 support. And apparently the wrong driver is linked to from the support page, so buyer beware.
