TP Link T8E Not Detecting 5G Signals on Windows 8.1

Hi there,
About a month ago I purchased a TP Link T8E router. On the box, it says it's an 802.11ac PCI-e card. I installed the necessary drivers and it worked, but not to what I hoped. As seen in the title of this thread, I do not see my 5G networks in my networks. On other devices though, I see them, in the same gosh darn room. I checked through command prompt to see if it could be capable of 802.11ac connection, and surely it does. After going through tech support twice, and after being told to install the drivers, then be told to change my network's 5G settings (???), I am just really confused and upset that I can't find the 5G connection on this PC. I play PC games, and playing on 2.4G connections cause bad ping and lag. Please respond with answers ASAP.
Thanks. :)
