Archer C7 (V2) Cant login after firmware update and restoring settings

On the Archer C7 I updated the firmware, which was fine. I logged back in and restored the settings from the file I downloaded preupdate which was fine. But then when I tried to log back into the admin settings the default username/password no longer worked. Do I have to reset the router, like will that even work?
