Model: Archer BE805
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: From March 2025

I recently upgraded from a 10-year-old Archer C9 router to the BE805. However, I’ve encountered three issues with the BE805 that were not present with the Archer C9. Below are the details:

1. Media Server Discovery Delay & Windows 11 Sharing Issue
   - The router’s media server takes approximately 10 minutes to be discovered by devices on the same network.
   - Additionally, media sharing cannot be enabled from my Windows 11 PC.
   - Fix: Enabling **IPTV/VLAN** resolved the issue.  Is it this fix expected? What are the explanations?

2. DLNA Access Denied for Onkyo Receivers (TX-NR656 & TX-NR7100)
   - Both receivers are denied access to the BE805’s DLNA server.
   - Network diagnostics on the receivers show "Ping Gateway Failed."

3. Ping Gateway Timeout on Windows 11
   - When running `ping` to the gateway via Command Prompt,  the request times out.
   - However, pinging localhost and other local devices works without issues.

Note: All these issues were not present with the Archer C9, confirming a possible problem with the BE805.

I would appreciate any ideas for resolving these issues.  Looking forward to hearing from you.

@BE420 Did you disable respond to pings from LAN in the firewall?

Since you replaced the router, make sure the network on Windows 11 is private or you won't be able to share. New networks would likely start as public.

@apila22 there is no option for enabling/disabling the response in the firewall.  Did try turn off firewall, but it didn't solve anything.

@BE420 The router firewall? Those options exist on the BE800.

  @apila22

You're correct—I overlooked that detail earlier, but I can confirm it was checked.

Currently, pinging the gateway from both the PC and receivers is working without any configuration changes. However, the persistent issue of the receiver being denied access to the DLNA server on the BE805 remains unresolved.

Please let me know any potential next steps for the troubleshooting.   Thank you
