Ping gateway request time out; access DLNA router denied by server
I recently upgraded from a 10-year-old Archer C9 router to the BE805. However, I’ve encountered three issues with the BE805 that were not present with the Archer C9. Below are the details:
1. Media Server Discovery Delay & Windows 11 Sharing Issue
- The router’s media server takes approximately 10 minutes to be discovered by devices on the same network.
- Additionally, media sharing cannot be enabled from my Windows 11 PC.
- Fix: Enabling **IPTV/VLAN** resolved the issue. Is it this fix expected? What are the explanations?
2. DLNA Access Denied for Onkyo Receivers (TX-NR656 & TX-NR7100)
- Both receivers are denied access to the BE805’s DLNA server.
- Network diagnostics on the receivers show "Ping Gateway Failed."
3. Ping Gateway Timeout on Windows 11
- When running `ping` to the gateway via Command Prompt, the request times out.
- However, pinging localhost and other local devices works without issues.
Note: All these issues were not present with the Archer C9, confirming a possible problem with the BE805.
I would appreciate any ideas for resolving these issues. Looking forward to hearing from you.
