Deco X20 Guest Network Won't Connect To Satellites Only Main Deco
I just bought a brand new Deco x20 (3) pack this weekend for our small business. I installed all 3 bases, updated the firmware for all 3 bases, and everything works great. All 3 of the bases are hard wired to our ethernet and communicating (wired ethernet logo next to each satellite base in the app) and I can see the 3 bases in the app and when I move around our building, my phone changes from base to base. (It's a literal dream come true.) I changed our LAN IP address from the default 192.168.68.1 to 10.0.0.1 because we have a number of physical printers that have static IP addresses in that 10.0.0.1 range and none of the computers would see those printers until I changed the LAN IP. After restarting the network and all our computers so they can get new IP addresses, everything still works great. Everything prints to the printers.
Then I turned on the Guest Network in the Deco app and gave it a name and password for all of my employees to connect their personal devices. I can see the Guest Network from my phone and the app. But no devices can connect to the Guest Network from the satellites. I'm getting "Couldn't get IP address" as the error. However, when I physically stand next to the main Deco base, my wireless device will connect to the Guest Network. But as soon as I disconnect from the main base unit, and stand next to a satellite base, and attempt to reconnect, I can no longer connect to the Guest Network again due to the IP address error. This feels like a firmware problem that the main base isn't assigning the Guest Network IP addresses when connected through the satellites. Any suggestions?
