Model: Archer AX80
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I just upgraded my router and realized that I cannot see my DDNS registration on the new router. I had assumed it was bound to my user, not my router. Is there a way to transfer that to my new router without having to plug my old one back in ?

Which ddns service are you using?

The router you use should not be an issue as it is the ISP's IP address assigned to you. The router ddns set up is to notify the ddns if the IP changes.

  @terziyski

I've done that twice, and it did not bring in my address.... I just tried a third time in case I missed something and, nope, still nothing. It just takes me to the TP-Link ID sign in which shows that my email is bound ot this device but when I go back to DDNS its not there. And if I try to register again, it says the name is taken. I'm at a point where I may just scrap it, but its disappointing and annoying that it didn't come along with my TPLink ID

It seems that it goes with the router MAC address, but not with the TP-Link ID. Here's the guide for configguring TP-Link DDNS.

You can unbound the DDNS from your old router but can\t register the same name on the new router (because it's already registered) - details.
