Model: Archer BE805
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.2 Build 20241210 rel.67416

Hi TP-Link team,

I’m currently using the TP-Link Archer BE805 (BE19000) with the latest firmware (V1_1.1.2). However, I’m experiencing persistent issues when trying to connect my Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max to the network using MLO (Multi-Link Operation).

When MLO is enabled with the 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz bands, the iPhone fails to connect to Wi-Fi. Upon selecting the network, I receive an “Invalid password” message — even though the password is correct. If I disable MLO and connect directly to either the 2.4GHz or 6GHz band, the device connects without issue.

This is frustrating, especially considering that my previous TP-Link product (Archer X10) offered a far more stable and consistent experience. I upgraded to the BE805 specifically to take advantage of Wi-Fi 7 and MLO features, but the performance and usability fall short of expectations — particularly on Apple devices.

This issue occurs consistently and in multiple locations. Is TP-Link currently aware of this problem and working on a fix? Or is it being considered a user-specific issue?

Again, just to clarify — the password is correct, and the problem only arises when MLO is active.

Looking forward to your response and a potential resolution.

Thank you.

  @schn3id3r

Apple doesn't support 320Mhz which is Wifi7 specification. You might have to set the 6Ghz width to max 160Mhz.

And if Apple isn't fully implementing Wifi7 specifications, then it most likely doesn't support tri-band MLO either and you have to disable one of the 3 channels in order to connect.

  @schn3id3r make sure you reboot your BE805 after enabling MLO, which is what both TP-Link's and Apple's Tech Support representatives said to do. After that your iPhone should connect to the network.

320 MHz is not required for WiFi 7, nor is connecting to all three bands at the same time.

Wi-Fi 7, while designed to use all three bands (2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz), can also operate on a single band. The key advantage of Wi-Fi 7 is its ability to leverage the 6 GHz band for higher speeds and reduced interference, especially in crowded environments.
