NAT Forwarding - Virtual Servers : Port Forwarding not working.

 

Recently my router crashed when I was trying to add another port forwarding rule.  The router did a full factory reset and lost all my seetings.

 

I have reconfigured everything but I cannot get port forwarding to work at all now.

 

All the entries I had were gone after the crash.

 

I now only have 2 entries but neither of them work.

 

Suggestions?

Not sure what happened with your router going back to factory.

 

Be sure to set up the address reservations first, power cycle the router (and maybe the device also) and ensure the device is using the selected IP. Set up the forwarding rules, then power cycle again. Then test.

 

Some options on routers do not take affect until a reboot or power cycle. Found that out the hard way as I made some router changes that did not seem to affect anything until a few weeks later when I did a reboot. Then the network crashed. So now I reboot or power cycle after router changes.
