Model: Archer C1200
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 3.0.7 Build 20200831 rel.59087 (US)

I have 400mb internet and if I connect directly to my modem, I'm getting over the 400mb speeds. When I orginally connected from the same computer through the Tp-Link router, I was only getting 72mb but then I shut off Qos, UPnP and SIP ALG and then I was getting about 150mb but I can't get any higher than that. This is what I tried:

-Used speedtest.net for all tests and tested multiple times

-Used the same cat5e cord from my computer to modem and from computer to router

-Changed out two different cat5e cords between modem and router

-Turned off wifi and disconnected all other connections

-Turned off QoS, UPnP, SIP ALG and parental controls are off as well

-Verifed 1Gb duplex link speed in router and from computer

-Reset router multiple times

-Same results with a different computer on the network

Any other ideas? It's definitely something within the router - I think I'm either missing a setting somewhere or the router itself is failing.

Thanks,

Jack

First thing I aways do is power off the modem, router, and PC, wait 5 min, then power on the modem, wait, then power on the router, wait, then the PC wait a bit then retest the speed.

Other things to check.

Are you using a VPN?

Are you using the same DNS on the router and PC?

Are you using IPv6?

Are you using the router in router mode or AP mode?

Have you tried chaning the security settings?

Any USB devices attached to the router?

Are you using any cloud backups for the PC?
